Our FacilitiesLa Salette Pre University College is a minority institution established by the Missionaries of La Salette (MS) to meet the global challenges of students from different backgrounds in Hunsur city and the surrounding villages. Education is man's true religion, and at La Salette it is made possible through a holistic way of teaching. Ethical values are fundamental to leading a good life, and students are guided to explore their best potential in every activity—intellectual, physical, and spiritual.
The college aims to provide the best opportunities for every student. Each student is a valuable stone in his or her own way. The motto of the college is "To Have Fullness of Life." Therefore, utmost care and attention is given to each student, both within the college and beyond. The kind support and availability of priests and nuns is an added advantage for the proper growth of students, as they often conduct moral classes.
The college is situated in Mardur village, 8 km from the heart of Hunsur city and 2 km from the Mysore–Bantwal State Highway. Though the institution is a charitable trust, it provides the best education possible to meet the needs of students. We have well-equipped laboratories for science and technology, and a language lab to teach English, French, and Spanish.
The college is surrounded by lush greenery across 50 acres, with a separate playground for track and field, basketball, skating, table tennis, and more. Students who are interested in sports are supported to excel, and are encouraged to participate in sports meets. Our students have represented at the taluk, district, and state levels and have won prizes. Through sports quota, many of our students have been appointed in state and central government services.
Girl students are encouraged to participate in all college activities and are taught social responsibility through organizing various programmes. Women's empowerment is explained, and courage is instilled to face life's challenges. Female lecturers are appointed to help and assist girl students.
Transportation is provided to students from their destinations. Students from surrounding villages need not depend on anyone to reach the college. At present, our transportation facility covers almost 70 villages and two major cities: Hunsur and K R Nagar.
In Sanskrit, there is a meaningful line that aptly suits every student: Vidya dadati vinayam, vinaya dadati paatrataam | Paatratva dhanamaapnoti, dhanaat dharmam tatah sukham. It means: knowledge generates humility; from humility comes discipline; from discipline comes worthiness; from worthiness one gains wealth; from wealth one does good deeds; and from good deeds comes joy. Students are moulded to experience lasting joy through the wisdom imparted by lecturers in varied subjects. In brief, La Salette is committed to shaping students and bringing about their overall metamorphosis.

Sports Day
Sports day always enthrals the staff and students. The sports man spirit of each student is recovered and promoted. Various events are conducted in the two grounds of the school boosted students' interest in sports and other Co-curricular activities. Co-curricular activities are also given due importance for the holistic development of a child.
Science Expo
Science expo brings out many inventors in the field of Science and Maths. Children's curiosity of knowledge is explored by finding and experimenting something new and creative. Students are continually motivated and moulded under the leadership and guidance of Science / Maths teachers.
Annual Day
Annual day celebration opens a public stage for the students to exhibit their talents and artistic skills. During the course of studies as part of overall development students are given training in dance, music, public speech etc. under the guidance of experts.
Arts Day
Activities outside the classroom butters our retention and helping augmenting our academic performance. La Salette Vidyanikethan always encourages to open up talents in various competitions and thereby helping and nurturing the overall development.
